Default Sail Panel Speaker Recommendations

Hey,

I've had the Kee Audio kit (CDT) in my car for a couple months, but one of the CL-6M woofers is making a horrible vibrating noise. Doesn't sound like it's blown, but like something is loose internally. Does anyone have a better recommendation or should I just get a replacement one from CDT?

Thanks

Why not check and see if they will replace it under warranty? Go to cdtaudio.com/cdtaudiowarranty and fill out the claim.

I'll shoot them an email and see what they say. Thanks for the heads up.

Do you have the speaker sealed in it's sail panel housing?

Yes, it's definitely not rattling against the housing. I even pulled it completely out of the sail panel (holding it in my hand) and the rattle was still there.

Voice coil probably came unglued, separated from the cone... it happens. Should be warrantied.

I just hate the idea of dealing with a warranty, not sure I have the receipt and the thought of paying to ship a speaker back, waiting several weeks, and then receiving a new one isn't all that appealing. Honestly I've not been impressed with the CDT stuff so I am interested if a better alternative exists.

Not sure what kind of mounting depth is in the sail panels, not home to measure it right now. I was looking at getting in on this pre order http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/f...-65-pre-order/
depending on what your budget is

I have a camaro and bought a set of 2 ohm kicker 6.5 inch subs for the sail panels. Sonic electronix has then on sale for 65 each.
