Default 12 Disc CD Changer Simple Question

I know this is a stupid question, and I read the FAQ and maybe I over looked it. I loaded up my factory 12 disc CD changer and I can not figure out how to play the CD's in the changer. I can play the CD in the head unit and if I eject it I cant figure out how to switch it to the CDs in the changer? Thanks

"AUX" button, if it works. My trunk changer's been dead
for at least a year now, though, and it doesn't anymore.

Also, make sure you loaded the discs "upside down". The factory changer expects the discs to be label side down in the trays.

Not trying to hyjack. Does my car have the wiring there for the CD changer? What side would it be on in a convertible?

It would be helpful to know what kind of car and whether it has a Monsoon system.

All 98-02 Monsoon equipped f-bodies came with the wiring harness for the external changer pre-installed. You should find it in the left side of your trunk with the end wrapped in foam and taped to another wiring harness.

All of the error messages are numbered and listed in the Monsoon FAQ sticky at the top of the forum.

You are in the Stereo and Electronics section of the forums. When you exit your thread (this thread) you will be in that section listing all the threads that people are discussing. At the top of that list there are five threads above and separated from the rest - they are called sticky threads because they are permanently posted (stuck) at the top of the list. One of them is titled Monsoon FAQ. It has a wealth of information about the Monsoon premium audio system that was installed in 98-02 f-bodies (Firebirds and Camaros). I believe that all Z28 models (and Trans Ams) came with the Monsoon system as standard equipment but even if it didn't, most of the information applies to the base audio system as well - certainly the list of CD error codes does.

If you still have difficulty finding the sticky, here is the direct link to it: https://ls1tech.com/forums/stereo-el...nsoon-faq.html
