Default Rear sub box

I was just looking on ebay and there was a listing for a subwoofer and enclosure for a Camaro that would fit the firebird. It said in the listing that it fits the rear passenger side. Now, my Trans Am has a spot for it on the Drivers side in the rear, not the passenger side. There is a jack and a spare on the passenger side...did GM really do things the opposite on the Camaro? Seems incredibly stupid if they did. I asked the place if it was a typo and they said no....

Umm... no. Both Firebird's and Camaro's have the same layout.

You can purchase stealth sub boxes for the passenger side, but you would have to do some custom fabrication (cutting the trim panel, securing it).

Traditional route would be to buy one for the driver side (I got mine from Subthump).
