Default Flash Side Markers with Turn Signals

I just found these two threads on other forums which could come in handy:
http://forum.mazda6club.com/electric...ing-flash.html
http://www.fordfusionclub.com/showthread.php?t=381771

I'm nowhere near my Firebird (different side of the country), otherwise I'd try myself (although my Mustang is with me so I may try there). I'd probably try the capacitor version first to keep the wiring simpler. The wiring colors are different of course, but the concept is the same.

The only deviation on the f-body is that the front turn signal is a dual filament bulb that is also used as DRL. Turn Signal flashes the Bright filament. DRL uses the Bright filament with headlights Off and Dim filament with headlights On. So you'd end up with the side-markers on with DRL since you'd need to tap into the positive wire of the bright filament.

This other thread may help with that:

There have been other threads about this, but depending on whether or not the headlights where on, the side markers would flash opposite of the turn signals. I was looking for a way to get them to always flash with the turn signals. Maybe tapping into the rear turn signals would work out better (finding the wire up front and tapping into that instead of running new wire from rear) since there isn't a DRL circuit to worry about there. Actually, No since then the side markers would also light up when the brakes are activated. Scratch that. How did people get the rear side markers to flash with the turn signals but not light up with the brakes? Maybe I'm missing something with the wiring?

I can't seem to find those other threads. If you find them, please post them.

After more searching, it sounds like the best option may be to tap into wires under the steering column or at the DRL Module behind the radio for the turn signals instead of any wiring that actually goes to a bulb (since the wires later go into the DRL box behind the radio which then handles DRL & Turn Signal wires going to the bulbs). Since this mod will entail running wires from that area anyway, may as well run a wire for the trigger (like the first set of instructions above) instead of using the capacitors (like the second set instructions above).

WhiteBird00's post here says which wires to use at the DRL Module behind the radio:

I was trying to keep things simpler, but I guess not with f-body wiring.

Now to get the constant on that runs to the flashers to use for the relays instead of capacitors.
