Default Replaced the battery, now no power to the stereo

My battery died over the winter, so I let the car sit as its been snowing a ton in Jersey. I finally out the new battery in today, car fired up fine, runs fine, but I can't get the damn stereo to turn on.

It's an aftermarket kenwood that was installed prior to me buying the car, I've never had a problem before. I'm guessing something needs to be hooked up that isn't, there is one loose wire that has a cable lug at the end... Should this be Hooked up to the negative terminal?

Thanks

I'm going to post a couple of pictures but photo bucket blows... it won't load
