Question Problem With New Bazooka Sail Panel Subs

The left sail panel sub in my Monsoon-equipped Trans Am started popping, so I decided to replace both of them. I got a pair of Bazooka 6.5" DVCs recommended by the forums, and I installed them last night. I reused the original harness & soldered it onto the new speakers (+ to red, - to black). When I tested the speakers, it didn't go so well. Every time there's bass, I hear static from the left front door speaker.

I didn't touch anything in the front - so why would my front speaker be affected? I'm not sure if I screwed up the wiring of the sub, but it seemed pretty cut and dried. Any ideas?

What happens if you switch the speakers/harnesses side-to-side?
