I'm looking at a 99 camaro Z28 that is for sale for very cheap. It's bone stock, even the exhaust is still factory, with 110K miles. It has power door locks and mirrors but the owner says it didn't have a key fob when he bought it from the previous owner. Did all of them that had power locks come with a key fob, or can they have power locks and still not have a key fob from the factory? If this car didn't come with one from the factory would I still be able to program a key fob to it or not? Thanks.

I'm basically wondering if I'd be able to get a factory key fob and program it or if I would have to get an aftermarket setup.

Look at your RPO codes on your door.

AU0 Lock Control, Remote Entry
AU3 Lock, Side Door, Electric
A90 Lock, Rear Compartment Lid, Remote Control, Electric

Basically, if you have AU0 then it has keyless entry.
