double din head unit/ back up camera 4th gen
hi, i just purchased my 3rd ls fbody. its an 02 ss m6 without the moonson system. i've grown accustomed to having a back up camera. I've installed head units before, but they have always been plug in play. i was looking at purchasing either of these.

I'm ordering a new double din face plate from crutchfield. I know I have to cut the plastic support in the back. I know that i should tap into the power for the reverse lights for the camera, my question is, its telling me that i have to buy

do I have to hack up the stock wiring harness with this to make the new head unit to work?
I'm also open to suggestions. i only want bluetooth, to be able to hook my phone up to it and a rear cam. the stock stereo sounds fine to me, so i'm not looking at changing or adding speakers.
thanks for any help

Yes, You'll need that half f-body wire harness (as crutchfield shows) to wire the new radio in!
The new radio will include the other 1/2 for itself. You wont cut any stock wiring. Just solder the wires from the Radio harness to the crutchfield harness.
A tip: Most GM harnesses do NOT include a wire for the "Dimmer" function. I couodnt find a "complete" harness, so I bought a 2nd harness to remove 1 wire, and install it into the crutchfield one.
