Default Most functional headlight upgrade for the money

Debating on a headlight upgrade since I have removed my foglights for a while now and the more I drive at night the more I hate the headlights. I came across the 88-98 Silverado headlight conversion, and also have found some oval-ish Hella lights. And then there is the high dollar Projector setup (which I'm not a fan of the look).

I don't spend a lot of time in my car at night and I care more about suspension upgrades etc, but I see ebay truck headlight kits for cheap and can go to a true 9005/9006 bulb etc. NOT a huge fan of cutting the bumper but I don't mind cutting the header panel since you can't see it anyways.

Wondering what people think is the most cost effective but useful headlight upgrade.

Is it the stock headlight housings that suck or the bulb that is used in the sealed headlights? I thought I saw someone cutting out the factory bulbs and using new/different bulbs in stock housings?

You can get H4351 and H4352 replacements with replaceable bulbs that will mount just like the factory sealed beams. Google "non-sealed h4351".

Awesome. Also thought about doing a non sealed conversion too. But if you can get them non sealed for not much money I may go that route.

Check Cibie on line, they build most of the GM headlights ,,, they used to have some pretty cool retrofit kits for better halogens/HID/LED...
