Default Pioneer D9605 AMP goes into protection mode

Worked fine last year when I put the car away. This year as soon as I put the battery in, nothing.

Keeps going into protection mode.

Measured voltage at amp and it’s 12.6 volts with the car off.

Unplugged each wire and turned car on each time. Still goes to protection mode.

Any ideas?

There are a number of reasons an amp will go into protection mode. This article lists a few to check: http://www.bcae1.com/repairbasicsfor...pinprotect.htm

Default Got it.

Thanks for the link. I figured it out.

Some stray ray strands of wire came loose from the power wire and were touching the chassis of the amp. All good now.
