Default WHat did you use?

Im going to replace my Monsoon system in teh NEAR future. I want to replace everything but I want to leave things in their stock locations (ie speakers etc).

I plan on replacing the 6.5' in the door, the 6.5 in the back seats, and (posibly) the 4's in the hatch (I may leave these out). I want to install a head unit that can play MP3 discs and has the ability to connect the remote input to the steering wheel controls with a converter. I also want to replace the amp.
I am not looking to replace the wiring or do alot of wiring changes so I really want to plug and play solution. Most inportantly I would like to know:

- Head unit & wiring adapter if used
- adapter used for connecting remote to steering wheel control. ( I know of 2 available)
- Amp & wiring adapter iif used
- Speakers & adapters if used

WHat have you guys used for this task. Im not looking for the best of the best just a good clean sound at a resonable price that is plug and play.

Thanks

call crutchfield and pick there brain then look on e-bay for HU and the expesive stuff.there are so many choices,I went with an alpine cda-7998,alpine 176a for the front alpine 170?for the rear sides and left the 4s in the rear disconnected.I added Q-Logic box with 2 jl 10w6 driven by an oldr punch 800 and I am running a PPI 4 cannel on my mids and highs.most of the parts i got by shopping around so I have less than 2grand in everything.
