Default CD Changer question

Will a changer from a 99 work on an 01 car. Also does anyone have pics of how and where they are mounted from the factory. Thanks.

Yes it will work.

As far as the mounting, I have no pics, but I think they come with a bracket welded in place that holds the changer. Mine didn't come with one from the factory, so I had to get creative when I added one.

Yes, the bracket is welded in. I have a convertible and it is on the driver's side shelf in the trunk. They weld them in from the factory in such a way as to create a bit of a suspension for the changer. It does not really work as well as you might think. You could probably fab something together and make it work just as good. If I saw this thread 2 days ago I would have taken picts as I was taking (read: ripping, pulling, yanking, screaming, etc.) mine out to replace it with an aftermarket one.
