Default replace hatch speakers with 8" subs?

has anyone ever done this successfully? i have 2 8" fosgate subs that i got as freebies...i currently have 2 12's in a milhouse type setup that i fabbed up but i'm really not that big on having huge bass...most of what i listen to is punk, hardcore & metal...i have tested the 8's and feel they are suitable for what i am looking for soundwise... i really don't care for having the hatch speakers which is my reason for wanting to put the subs there as well as my desire to not give up any trunk space...thanks for any input

Default ummmm?

Sure, there is enough space to custom fiberglass a couple of pods there. Just make sure you leave enough airspace, so not to choke the subs.

Im not sure what a "millhouse setup is" but im guessing you mean free air or no baffle.

I dont see why you couldnt fiberglass some boxes back there. The only thing to look out for is the wheel well.

http://www.subthump.com <---- hack installs

WTF is the point of doing all the work to install into your f-body; and then just running wires ontop of the carpet by the amp, or effect, or whatever it is. this site is good for a laugh, and that's about it.

afaik subthump just makes the boxes, the people who purchase them install them. i think subthump has some pretty damn nice products.
