Default Confused about with Monsoon upgrade!

If you check out my sig you will see my fiancee and I have three LS1 F-bodies: 1998 Camaro Z28 A4- Borla catback
1999 Camaro SS M6- a "few" mods
2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 M6- cutout, Spec stg 3 carbon clutch
All three have different sound systems. The Z28 has the standard system, the SS has the 200 watt Monsoon CD system and the WS6 has the 500 watt Monsoon CD system. The WS6 is by far the best. The Z28's system blows the SS's Monsoon away as far as bass capability goes. The Ws6 has awesome bass. What is involved in upgrading the SS's crappy Monsoon to better speakers? My buddy want to re-wire the entire car, while keeping the stock stuff in the car to replace the OE stuff if needed; is that the way to go?

Check the sticky on top about swapping out speakers and as for upgrades there are speakers listed inside that thread. I have a few questions currently pending in this forum about speaker options that I am waiting on responses for. Look through mine as well but the upgrade sticky seems to be the way to go!
