Question Radio/Clock dosen't turn off (Security Light)

[Trans AM -99]

Often when I turn off the car the light on the radio/clock will still light. I try to move the key between Run, off, Lock but it will not help.

If I leve the car and turn the alarm on, I will not here the horn sound as i usually do when the radio clock is off (can here the alarm horn sound if I press the remote-control 2 times). When I have turn the alarm on, the Security light then light up.

I don't like to have my car parked at nights and this light is on inside.
Also think it will drain my battery when I long time parking the car.

If i enter the car and start it up the security light will go out, so there is no problems to start the car.... and if Im lucky the next time I turn the car off the radio clock also goes out. (and when i alarm it I can here the horn sound).

When everything working I can here a ticking sound (like some realy) at the front of passenger side when I move the key between on and off.....
When the radio clock dosen't goes out I can't here that sound.
So is there some sort of realy that can be broken?
Os maybe something is wrong in the Key-cylinder???

Anyone that can help me with this?
Any ideas?

It sounds like the door switch is failing (or needs adjustment?). When you turn off the ignition, the radio, the windows and other accessories will continue to work for about 10 minutes or until you open a door. If the system doesn't know that the door was opened (because of a bad switch) then it will keep the radio working and prevent the alarm from setting.

The next time it happens, try opening the other door. It has a separate switch so it might work.

When I open the door and still have the key in the ingition, I can here the warning sound. Also when I open the door the roof light turns on.
So I think the door switch it's working. Or are there more than one?

When everything is working the radio clock turs off when the ignition is turned to off (the posision where I can take the key out). So it's before I do anything with the doors.

Please help.

OK, as I said earlier, the next time it happens, open the passenger door and see if that makes the radio shut off. If it does then we have a good idea that the problem is someplace in the RAP circuit or the left door switch. If not then we can look for other causes.

Started the car.
Turned on the radio.
Turned off the car and removed the key.
Open both doors and closed both off them.
Turned the alarm on. (No flash or sound as normaly, SECURITY lights up)

Can here the radio playing inside... Waiting over 10 min, still the same.

Open and starting the car, 10 sec later the security light will go away.

Now I also noticed that the alarm flashing diod in the front window don't flash.

Can I test if the alarm is working by sitting in the car and turn the alarm on and open the door... should that start the alarm? It will not start.
If the alarm dosen't working that is a big problem. I can't sleep well then
