battery problem I live in chicago. the temp is right above freezing but no snow. i filled my trans am a4 with gas a few days ago and drove it home and havent used it in 4 days. i tried to start it today and it wouldnt start. i then jumped it and when it started the idle wascrazy and was up around 3000 and jumping up and down. i then gave it soem gas and it went even higher in the rmp range and take a few secs to coem down. i know my battery died and its an old battery but does any1 else have any ideas of what to do?

If it was not surging before then i would say unplug the battery long enough for the pcm to lose its ltrims. (about 5-10 minutes) and then reconnect the battery and let the car go thought a idle relearn.
If it was doing it before, you have a leak somewhere between the tb and the intake. If thats the case i would start by making sure the intake screws were tight.
