I am looking into getting some stereo equipment for Christmas. Now, I am a total noob when it comes to car audio, so I would prefer something that would be plug and play. I read the 2 stickies and most of the stuff goes over my head. I guess what I'm asking for is to improve the stock sound at a reasonable price and somewhat plug and play applications. BTW, I have a 99 Z28 hardtop with the monsoon stereo. It originally had a tape deck but I replaced that with the CD deck....Thanks in advance.

what are you looking for? more bass, better sound or both? I did my whole system for around 400 bucks or so, ive posted up a break down somewhere on here that shows how i did, im running a pioneer h/u, pioneer speakers, rf punch amp, sony xplode amp, and a rf 10" dvc sub in a subthump box. 1000x times better than stock
