Default Steering wheel Radio Controls

The lights went out in my steering wheel radio controls. Really not that big of a deal, the controls still work. It just bothers me. Besides that, is there anyway to replace the lights in these or do I have to buy new ones? If that's the case does anyone have any for sale?

I took one of mine apart and replaced the led. It was extremely dull compared to the other one with the factory bulb/led. You could barely tell it was on.

Maybe I bought the wrong type?

I went ahead and took my controls out a few days ago anyway. I'll be finishing up my stereo install shortly, and I wasn't interested in buying the interface that allows the controls to work with an aftermarket headunit. Looking into making some "inserts" to fill the spaces in the steering wheel.

Were exactly can you purcase the Leds? How much are they, and does anyone know a part #? I pulled my controls out the other day I couldn't seem to find out were the wires were connected. I pulled on them a little but I didn't want to set the airbag off accidentally. Don't know if that would happen or not, but I didn't want to take that chance. How do you guys take the control apart? Does it just snap together through the center?

somewhat off topic, but would it be possible to make the buttons do other things like control neons or nitrous?
