auto shifter lightbulb wire?

auto shifter lightbulb wire? 
My console doesnt have a light where the shift letters are so i ripped it apart thinking the bulb was out. however I didn't find any bulb, and seemingly nowhere one would go. i drew some '?' marks next to some areas of intrest, (pic 2&4) the one wire was hanging like that when i took the console off. could that be it? i dont see where a bulb would go into it though

Just remove the center console 4 10mm screws 2 in the bottom of the pocket and 2 on the sides up front!
