Default Dash & Gauge Illumination Out. Short??

I was driving home from work yesterday and went over an expansion gap or something and the dash illumination went out. I checked when I got home and the 5 amp fuse was blown. I replaced the fuse and it blew again as soon as i turned the lights on.

Any ideas what could be causing this? The rest of the interior lights still work (mirror and overhead lights), but everything attached to the dimmer is out except for the steering wheel radio control lights.

Thanks!

How this happened I have no idea. The bump in the road wasn't that damn bad.
