does anyone know how to make lights do like KITT had on his front end? this is not for the T/A for now. i will probably use LEDs for the project. probably use 5 or 7 different light groups for one and two in another project.

Here are two links to Knight Rider sites.
http://www.knightregistries.com
http://www.knightfoundation.net
You should find plenty of info there.
There are many more sites, but those are the only ones that I can remember right now. Do a search on Google (for "Knight Rider" or "KITT") and you'll find plenty (I sure did, the last time I went looking).
If I remember correctly, JC Whitney did make a cheap version of the scanner light. It wasnt the best/brightest though (this is not from personal experience, but from reviews I have read).
---
Also, I can't quite tell what you are trying to do...I'm guessing that you are talking about the scanner (sweeping red light bar on the nose), but you could also be talking about the fog lights. Clarification please.
