Default changing light bulb in Monsoon radio display

how hard is it the change the light bulb behind the display?

the bulb replacement is it a GM dashbroad cluster bulb?

My display works ( I've sean it change in the sunlight) thinking the bulb is corroded or burned up.

Thanks

the bulb behind the display is easy to get to but hard to pull out of the socket. take the ***** off the eq and pull off the power ****. take the face off by lifting up the tabs on the sides. unbolt the tiny bolts holding on the face board and unplug the one plug. you should be able to reach the bulb by now if my memory serves me right. as far as changing the bulb itself youre on your own cause i couldnt figure that part out

it was an actual filament bulb but it looked like it was permanently attached to the socket. you could probably easily solder in a new one though. youll have to open it up to understand, its hard for me to explain. but i might just be a dunce and it screws out but i personally couldnt figure out how to take it out

this should help you get to the bulb:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/wiring-stereo-electronics/396085-your-monsoon-head-unit-display-messed-up.html

you might want to go ahead and hit the pins on the chip and ribbon cable to keep from having to go back in later and do that part. "most" of these will have this problem at sometime in their life ... espicially if the aren't "garage kept" and babied their whole life I don't "abuse" my car but I've had to fix mine 2 X's already.
