ipod adapter for my 99???

ipod adapter for my 99??? I did a search on ipod adapters and found that the 98 and some 99 models are not compatible with any ipod adapters.....is this true? I really don't care about using my steering wheel controls to control it, I'd take any hardwired setup at this point. I really don't want to buy a crappy fm transmitter either. any ideas? Anyone have a solution for the 99 model with single cd player? Thanks for the help.

With a 99 CD head unit you're taking your chances. Late model 99 CD head units will work but early models won't - and there isn't any way to tell other than trying it.
If you're serious about wanting that set up then perhaps you should try it. If it doesn't work you can pick up a 2000 or later head unit pretty cheap from someone upgrading to an aftermarket system.
