Default 1999 Corvette Speaker Question

What are the dimensions of the factory speakers for the c5? I have the upgraded 12 disk changer sound system in my vehicle and plan on just changing out the 4 Bose speakers for something that can give better sound with the top off. Anyone else change out there speakers? Any input would be helpful.

Ifyou are going to change out the speakers you just as well change out the head unit. This unfortunately will mean the cd changer will also have to go.

The stock speaker sizes are:
Front-6 1/2 Don't remember the smaller speaker size
Rear-5 1/4

I completely redid mine head unit and all. The doors have enough room to put in about anything you want. I used all JL Audio Speakers. 6 1/2 in the stock location, Tweeter is mounted behind the handle to open the doors. 12" sub in a box that fits in the rear center compartment. I did not install rear speakers and personally feel they would be a waste of money if quality front speakers are used.
