Default Are there any antenna alternatives for us Camaro boys?

I really hate my 3 foot long antenna pole. I'd like to know if there's any aftermarket alternative to it. It'd be great to get a small, stub-like thing. Any ideas? Thanks.

You could either do a stubbie, or just change out for a power one.

Most autoparts stores carry short Billet ones. They are a typical size, so is easy if you get one that has the adaptors. But, I didn't like how easy they were to bend, so went to a 4 wheel drive store and they had thicker much better billet ones with etched flames and looks great and will not bend. The one I have is about a foot long.

depending on how much you actually listen to your radio you could just take it off and either disassemble the mast and shave it clean, or put something over it to give the appearance of a stubbie... a few members on the board have posted tips for doing this...

if not, i'd recommend a power antenna. a little more time conusming to install, but well worth it IMO. they're relatively cheap at your local best buy or auto parts store.... ~30 or 40 bucks..

You could install a power antenna:

Can you find the little 8' antennas at normal part stores? I would like to have one as well, and how hard is the install. Just taking off the old and plugging a few wires, correct?

with the shorty antennae from ebay, all you gotta do is unscrew the old one, screw an new end to the new one, and screw the new one into the car, takes at MOST 10 minutes. i've got one and love it.

Somewhere online they sell antennas that are micro thin and you just paste them to your rear window glass. Some luxury cars come with this type from the factory.
