Hey, someone w/ 02 ss monsoon, help! I haven't seen my 02 SS in a couple of months (military) and need to know if there are speakers in the sail panels next to the rear seats on a monsoon setup. I have the chance to pick up some alpine type x mid bass speakers, but need to make sure there is room!

I've looked at the Alpine midbasses you're talking about. I don't think they are good choice. The 86dB Sensitivity means it's not going to be very loud at the normal power levels the Monsoon system puts out.

Hey guys, thanks for the info! I'm kind of releived to hear that rjk! Not to worry, the entire monsoon sys. will soon be a pile of magnets taking up space in a closet! I've got all alpine: IVA d310, 2pr spr 17ls, 2 spr 1242d, mrv f545, mrd m1005, a sub box from subthump.com, and lots of sound deadening! Oh, and now I have a pair of spx 17mb's to go next to the rear seats. The only thing I went Cheap on was the tsunami amp kit w/ capacitor. Anybody use this amp kit?
