Default SES light after skip shift eliminator install

Yesterday I installed a skip shift eliminator kit, when I went for a test drive the SES light came on. Has this happened to anybody? Anyone know how to fix it?

Is it a plug and play kit or is it just the resistor that you put in the end of the plug?

Yes, check the code. It may just be a coincidence.
