I have a 99 T/A with the 500watt Monsoon but it didn't come with a changer I've heard that on some you can add it and others you can't how can I tell?...I want to add a factory changer not aftermarket
Thanks

if it has the aux button you can add a factory changer. if its wired for it the cable will be somewhere in the cubby hole on the diver side in the back. if not you just have to get it all

Do you have a CD headunit or a cassette?

You might just have to go with an FM Modulated changer. Its not as cool as having the controls on your deck, but on the plus side you could mount the control/display box in that little pocket next to the cigarette lighter.

I have an alpine 6 disk and adaptable harness that plugs into the plug in the back driver side.
I control it with my head unit and steering wheel controls. I also do not have any aux buttons. thinking of selling because i want to install powered subwoofer in the spot.

As long as the stamped date on the top of your HU is April of 98 or later, it will control a CD changer

You can either go with the stock changer or one of the GM changers from Radios And More

If you plan on adding a Stealthbox enclosure in the left cubby hole where the stock changer is usually mounted, you can get the Vertical mount Truck/Catera 12 Disc changer and mount it behind the Spare tire cover

It's actually cheaper than the horizontal mount changer and still comes with an extra long wiring harness that you can run on the passenger side of the car (that's what I have)...
