Default C6 "Keyless" system retrofit?

How does the C6 "Keyless" system work? I would love to retrofit it to my Camaro while I'm doing the full rewire (100% of the wires are out of the car).

idk....never actually delt with it....

I just know that the C6 has SOMETHING that you walk up to the car, it unlocks. You get in, it powers up.

My friends C4 (94) has the "walk up unlock" feature, as well.

the c6 system is based on a wireless key fob. I believe the car has 3 sensors so it can triangulate and figure the exact location of the key fob. If the fob is near the car, it allows the doors and hatch to open. The doors do not actually lock or unlock, as the opening mechanism is electronic. The doors are always locked so to speak until you actually press the button to open them. If the car detects the fob, the button will pop the door open. No fob, no open.

When the system detects that the fob is inside the car, it allows the push button start to work.

Now, since this is standard on all c6 corvettes, and knowing how GM likes to integrate things to save costs (for example, how the keyless entry and alarm system on the fbody is built into the BCM, not a separate system), I would expect this to be fully integrated into the interior wireharness and BCM of the C6, and not a separate system you could rip out and install in any other car.
