A friend of mine is interested in the highest quality digital sound via the best CD changer (this is for the fbody). Anyone have any aim?

im not sure what your wanting but if your wanting the highest quality sound youll need to replace the factory head unit, speakers, and wire as well. It will only sound as good as your weakest link.

Besides, the only CD changer you can connect to the factory stereo is the factory changer. There is (or was) something called the NeoChanger that came with adapters to connect to various different OEM systems but the manufacturing quality was extremely bad and they fail frequently.

For the best absolute sound quality everything really needs to be replaced. In addition to the items mentioned by 2 much rice, aftermarket amplification is a must as well IMO.

Oh, sorry...it's actually Neo Changer (two words). It's a 10-disc changer that is designed to connect to a wide variety of factory stereos from different manufacturers. It comes with something like 14 different adapter cables so that it can plug into different makes of systems. It's actually a pretty good idea but, unfortunately, the execution was pretty bad - the changer itself was poorly made and unreliable.
