Default sony question

I have an older sony head unit in my beater and I have a question...

I want to hook up an MP3 player to it but supposedly you need some controller that's a 100 bucks to do it (thru the rear inputs). http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...58XA300&tp=422 I don't want to blow a 100 bucks on a headunit that cost me 50. Is there anyway around this besides using something that utilizes the radio?? Thanks in advance guys!

Buy a used Alpine on ebay that natively controls the ipod. I believe they also make an interface for stock/OEM stereos. I see many ipod controllable Alpine head units for around $100 on ebay.

Your specific model of Sony would be helpful but you could always use an FM modulator. The only thing with them is the sound quality suffers quite a bit but they are very inexpensive. Other than that I'd need to know what model Sony to help you further.

CDX-CA700x I don't really care about the quality per-say I just don't want tons of static and it cutting in and out

I think this one is all you need after doing a little digging: PAC AUXON-SONY and it's only $30.00. It's 16th down on the page: http://www.pac-audio.com/products/pr...iliary%20Input

I think my cd player has a changer input, if so I'd like to buy it thru you. Do you sell it?
