Default I think I installed my QTEC switch wrong...

I ran the wire from the motor up through the shifter boot, and put the switch in the ashtray. What I'm not sure of, is I ran the power wires to the harnessin front of the shifter, I can't remember what all goes there except the ashtray light. I piggybacked the positive wire with a red wire, and the negative with a black. However, I am now sure that I did something wrong. Whenever I floor it, I smell burning wires, and the ashtray light gets REALLY hot. I'm guessing I ran the power to the wrong leads. Can anyone tell me which ones I should plug it into?

I think its an orange wire -- runs to your cigarette lighter. Tap into that and you shouldn't have any problems.

I just double checked where I put it (I installed it a month ago) and I ran the wires into the back of the TCS switch. I'll check on the lighter wires, thanks.
