Default Newb Needing Sail Panel SPKR's

I've read through several of the Monsoon related threads about replacing blown speakers. I need to replace the sail panel speakers in my 02 T/A & I'm looking for a plug-n-play set-up that sounds as good as the factory stuff.

What brand?
Where can I get them?

Any other insight would be appreciated.
Thanks!

There have been many discusions about this subject. The only plug-and-play speakers are factory replacements. The next closest thing is the eD 7kv.2 subs which are dual voice coil 4-ohm subs just like the factory ones but they are deeper so they require a spacer to mount in the sail panels. Nobody has found any other reasonably priced DVC 6.5" subs to install there.

I did a search. What I didn't find was a specific brand name for further searching & I've never heard of "eD 7kv.2 subs". Thanks for your contribution.

eD = Elemental Designs. The 7kv.2 used to be known as EU-700 subs. There are a couple of threads about installing them, including the use of a spacer to make them fit properly.

I bought the 7kv2's like 3 months ago but i cant get them to sound good at all. I thought it was the amp so i tried my roomates amp and it still sounded like crap. They dont even sound as good as my roomies stock monsoon ones. Right now one of them isnt working. Im thinking something is up with the wiring because they literally have NO bass. And ive had good experiences in the past with ED so i no its not the speakers. Anybody else have that problem?

Did you wire the two voice coils on each speaker in parallel? If you have them in series you would have 8-ohms impedance on a 2-ohm circuit which would significantly reduce output.

Thanks for the offer. I went ahead & called my dealer connection & he was able to find 2 new speakers for me so that's the route I'll go for now.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions.
