Default Aftermarket Pioneer Radio

I just bought my car a few weeks ago and it came with this radio and a nice sound system. Now after i disconected the battery for some other reason...my radio obviously reset and doesnt show the time anymore which im sure after 10 minutes of just sitting there playing around with it..il be able to do it.

Now for my question:
Ever since it was reset, everytime i turn off the car after a minute or so the radio beeps three times. Do you guys know what that is and how do i stop it?
I havent sat down with it to look through it yet but maybe ill get a quick answer here and then i can just press something and get rid of the beep.

THANKS!!!

I had that HU at one point in time and always hated the beeping. Never did figure out how to make it stop.

That's a feature that most if not all pioneers have. You can turn it off. If I remember, the one I had needed it to be disabled from the menu you access with the HU turned off. Check the manual. I think they just call it "alarm".

Both the time and the beeping are set with the HU off. Once off, hold down the multifunction button (probably push and hold your round **** in) and then navigate through the menu from there. The beeping is to remind you to remove the faceplate to help prevent theft.

Not a forum sponsor, so we can't link you or tell you directly.

Do a Google search on "HU mounting" .... you might find what you're looking for.

In fact, if you do a Google search for "humount" you could find it even faster.

I just got a Pioneer headunit for my car too. When the HU is off, just press the clock button, and it will show up. Then, hold down the Function button until the time starts blinking. Then, you can go through the different options by just pressing the Function button. I think to turn off the beeps, when you turn the car off, you have to disable the "Alert" function. I don't have the same exact Pioneer HU, but, it should be the same, or close, for all of them.

And then you can pay 250% the price of what you would pay for something that looks 98% as good.

Yeah, no ****. I searched for it. And it's $65. But, it costs more to put Trans Am or Camaro, or anything else on it.
