Good Firebird Monsoon system door speakers
#2
This is a question that's often on here. I'm interested in doing the same thing right now. For the sail panels, options are extremely limited, but I'm going with the Bazookas from KEE AUDIO I think. For the fronts, there are a ton of options. From what I can tell, pretty much any 6.5 inch component set will work. I'm looking at a few, including Alpine type-s, JL Audio, and Kickers. From what I gather also, it's practically useless to replace the hatch speakers, too.

I got the Bazookas. Get them. They work well. Not so sure about the Hatch. I think they add more highs then u think. I would like to upgrade the doors and the Hatch.

Most guys just leave the hatch alone by disconnecting them. Basically if your front speakers and sails are doing their job efficiently you won't be able to hear the hatch speakers unless you've popped your hatch and are standing back there. However, several guys on here have bought some nice replacements from me for the hatch and love the sound so it really is a matter of preference. I have some really nice 4" hatch speakers available for $24.99.
As far as the doors go a quality set of components for the Firebird is the way to go. I carry several sets including Alpine, JVC, MA Audio, RCA, MB Quart, Cadence, CDT and several others. Prices start at $99.00 for a good set of components and range all the way up to $899.00.
