Default question for alpine ida-x100 owners

im thinking about getting one and i had a couple of questions..... did you wire your ipod into your glove box? if so, do u just leave your ipod on all the time or do you have to reach over everytime you get in the car and turn it on OR does it turn on automatically? also can you constantly switch ipods or are you only supposed to use one?? its a sweet looking head unit but im kinda hesistant if some things are going to be a hassle, thanks in advance!

i have an ida-x200 and these HUs come
with a fairly long cable for attaching your ipod/usb drive.
you could run it to the center console if you wanted to.

i have the ida-x300 and yeah the cable is pretty long. I just usually leave my ipod under the passenger seat but you could just leave it in the glove box. It automatically charges and operates your ipod so you don't have to turn it on or anything. You can switch ipods. Its just a program that reads what is on whatever ipod is connected to it.
