Default Stock Deck, is it okay?

I just sold my 300zx which came with 2 10's and a amp. Planning on putting it in the Camaro. Sounded real good and the car had a panasonic cd deck but I gave that to the new owner. Now my question, is the Stock Deck out of my 2000 Camaro SS good enough for what I'm planning on putting in? I really do not know much about stereo stuff so I need advice the experts here on ls1tech. Thanks guys!

yeah you'll need an av adapter... forget exactly what they're called but best buy and the like have them for like $25. easy install. the system would def benefit from an aftermarket HU tho

There are so many decks, is there a certain amount of wattage minimum or maximm I should be looking for?

I'd look for something with higher voltage RCA pre-outs. A lot of them come with lower voltage pre-outs, which would work, but not as well as others. Look for something with like 4 or 5 volt pre-outs. They usually advertise in the specs if they have the high voltage ones. Oh yeah, and I'd probably recommend Alpine or Pioneer for a brand. I've used them both and have had great luck with them. I never had to replace them because they were broken, only because I wanted a new one after a few years or so. My Alpine is now in my sisters truck, so it's been going for about 6 years.

I have several decks from Alpine, Pioneer Premier, JVC, Panasonic, and Clarion. I can put something together for you that includes the installation equipment like harness, antenna and mount adapters to make a clean and easy installation. I also have several reasonably priced quality amp kits to help you install your subs and amp in your Camaro. Let me know if I can be of assistance.

I'd talk to Ian(Kee audio). He's very helpful and eager to answer all your questions.

Thanks guys, so it looks like I will start looking for an aftermarket deck. How much do you think I wil end up spending on wires and a box to hold 2 10's? Here's a picture of what I already have:

Like I said, I took these out of my 300zx and man the set-up sounds very nice. But I have no idea if these are 10's or 12's?

Measure them and see.

Nice cap, BTW, I have the same one. Monster makes good stuff.

I would check out one of those hatch boxes by probox (from Kee) or subthump along with one of their amp racks. Nice looking setups.
