Default later model stero in a 94Z??

I just saw a guy with a 95 Z and had the later model Bose in place of the original Bose. I asked him how he did it and he said it was a plug and play sort of thing. Is this true??

in a non bose car yeah it would work. if it was a bose car you would have to do some wiring

might have to do some work to make it fit

If by "later model Bose" you mean a Bose head unit out of a later Camaro (up to 96) then yes, it will plug right in. But I don't think there's enough difference in the head units to make it worth the trouble.

More recent GM Bose systems (such as in their SUVs) work differently and won't work in Camaros. Besides, they're double DIN which won't fit in the dash without modification.
