Default SS vs. 2003 cobra

I live in GA and a little strip over here called barrett parkway has been a little hot spot for racing for quite sometime... you just do a series of U-turns and hunt down the other V8's cruising. Well i havent really ever lost a race in my SS while on barrett. So i see a mustang bout 2 cars up and i throw a rev at him, he revs back so we get in the turn lane and wait for the aarow, i then realize its an 03, i'm still not worried cuz most races here are just like a 1st and 2nd gear thing, so i wasnt too worried about the blower, but well we finally get the aarow, turn, hit it and i knew right away i was in trouble by the ear piercing whine of his blower, by the end of 1st he had 3 cars on me, end of 2nd he had a bus on me . I couldnt understand so i wave him over to a nearby gas station, and he was the cockiest son of a bitch i've ever seen. Turns out he had a kenne bell and was spraying on me ontop of that... i saw him at the local 8th mile track a few nights later, he was running consistant 7.0's and he was as cocky as ever...

Yeah, you didn't really stand much of a chance, regardless of the kenne belle or not. That's classic that he sprayed you also though. I usually save the juice for someone who came close to me without it. I haven't had to use it all summer. hehe

7.0s is slow for a Kenne Bell Blown Cobra, much less the gas.

My friend has an 03 Cobra that is kenne bell blown. Still has stock IRS, no nitrous, and stock 6-speed. He is running 18 lbs of boost and making 620 to the ground on pump gas. He has run 10.30s at 129.xx mph so far, with drag radials. Even when he still had the stock blower he ran it at 20 lbs of boost and ran 10.80s at 125 mph with a bolt-on cobra and drag radials.

I have raced another 03 that was bone stock, and in 1st and 2nd it was almost dead even he pulled a bit but in 3rd he really started to pull. And your right, that dude cant drive for ****, he was runnin on slicks at the track and launching like ****. But the track out here is super shitty, uphill launch and pot holes in various places... but still consecutive 7.0 flats its impressive to me.
