Default Tested out the new 396 on my friends SC s281 Saleen

Couldn't post in the kill section for some reason, so I'll post it here. Spec's on the motor are--12.5.1 compression, Oliver billet 6" rods, Callies Dragon Slayer Crank, and Ross Flat top pistons. AFR 210's ported by GTP. Solid roller(250/256,,640/610 lift on a 112ls).
Car was running on the tune I had for my 383 and 30lbs injectors. There's 42's in it now, and is parked untill it gets tuned for the new combo.

Now to the race. This was all his doing by the way, he just wanted to see how fast it was. We went from a 40 punch on him. All I can say is, mid way through fourth I already had five cars on him. I was really surpised on how hard it pulled as this was the first time I had got on it.
We race at 5,600 feet elevation, and his car has gone a best of 13.0@105 here. Stock LS1's go low 14's. I built this motor to run in the 11's at our altitude, and juding by the way the car pulled on the Saleen, I think I'm there.
Once it's tuned(Fast Chip's) I'll through it on the dyno and post results. It should make 400rwhp at our elevation. I'm, hoping close to 500wrhp at sea-level.

It sucks. When I first bought the car best run was 15.3@94mph. Most of the LT1 guy's were runing high 14's,low 15's. LS1 run on average 14.4@100mph. My friends Viper GTS with headers and exhaust runs 13.1@111mph. Altitude sucks.

im interested in your combo because im building a 391 with similar specs. Post dyno info when you get it. Also, how much did u pay for labor for just the short block assembly. Thanks

Geez that's alot of horse for a N/A motor especially considering the conditions. Nice kill.
