Waxed a boosted Acura RSX
I was hanging late after work at my job with a couple of friends. One of the guys has an Acura club meeting there on Thursday nights, anyways they come outside and my buddy says hey I got a race for you. It's a girl in a boosted Acura RSX, she was bragging that she just spent 15'000 on turbo kit and mods for her car so I was a little worried So I figure screw it we'll go from a 25mph roll. We line up and hit it at 25mph,she gets a fender on me to about 35mph till I shift into 2nd and we're even, I go thru 2nd gear shift into 3rd and start waxin dat *** ,as you know these things pull like a **** in 3rd. At this point I have about 4 cars on her and I'm laughin my *** off.

Re: Waxed a boosted Acura RSX
Oh,It gets better we turn around and she says lets go again. I'm like OK. too busy looking at the big-*** t*ts sticking out of her tight top.So we go from a dig and it was a murdering at this point as I have about 3 cars on her at about 40mph.I know all the guys are watching down the street so I decide to lay the smack down and hit the 1st then the second stage jizz and I'm killing her by bus lengths So we get back and she starts talking about her clutch and congrats me. Man I know I sportin wood

If you actually believe they spent 15,000 on a turbo kit, then you need to be slapped. Turbokits for an RSX is approximately 3500w/intercooler. At 10 psi, an RSX should easliy it high 12's at over 108-110mph. When will you people stop making rediculous accusations? IF there is someone is Houston with a bolt on ls1, I have a stock b16 civic that would run you with 12 psi of boost. Did you happen to look under his hood, to see if it where turbo? If so, where was the ex. manifold placed?

Re: Waxed a boosted Acura RSX
I drove my friends b16 about 3 months ago and ran a 12.7 at 112(street tires) on 10 psi of boost. That same day, I ran ls1cam from the boards and spanked his *** on the track and on the freeway. LS1's have no top end power what so ever. There strong points are the first 60ft and thats it.

Dude there top end is not that impressive trust me. Put one on the freeway with a supra,300,mr2 any comprable hp car and you will get stomped.

Re: Waxed a boosted Acura RSX
ever seen the torque curve on the ls1? wtf it's wide and flat as the day is long.
and of COURSE most of your boosted engines have more top end power than n/a engines. forced induction compensates for restrictions and compromises in the intake/head design... meaning you make more power up in the top of the rpm range than a n/a engine that flows similar CFMs.
however last i heard, they compensated for that not long after the invention of the internal combustion engine by inventing the transmission.

Re: Waxed a boosted Acura RSX
I have explained the torque curve thousands of times on here. Here goes the last one I replied on.
"Torque only measures where hp will end up. Horsepower is a measurement of work and torque is defined as being a rotational force. I would rather have torque in higher rpm's with a linear curve than peak hp down low. What if you had an engine that made 10,000ft/lbs of torque easily. But it ran at 1rpm. (10000ft/lbs * 1rpm) / 5252 = 1.904 hp. I would love to see you try and a tractor through the quarter mile. The things that frustrate me is, when guys with huge amounts of torque(v8's) actually try and compare charts with 4cyl. Two cars designed for different purposes with different intentions.
Heres an example:
(3 ft/lb of torque @ 2 RPM) / 5252 = .0011424 HP
(1 ft/lb of torque @ 8 RPM) /5252 = .0015232 hp
Which one is bigger. See my point! So it is a preference for me to make peak hp at higher rpm's. If I am wrong, please prove me wrong and I will apologize."
Please do not get me started on this topic again. Torque will not increase your top end power.

Re: Waxed a boosted Acura RSX
Let me get this righ if you had 1 ft/lb of torque and you increased that to 1000 ft/lb your top end will not increase at all? Thats hard to belive.
