Default Some chicago street race cars at a grudge night track event.

Some street racers decide to take it to a track for a "king of the streets" event. These are typical of the cars that street race around chicago.

Enjoy!

13 second crap on stock radials?! Were we watching the same videos? Those were all some seriously bad *** cars 60 footin' wheelies. Haha. That was awesome.

bump so people can see some REAL street race cars in rare form. I just get tired of seeing a 13 second car vs another 13 second car like it was real action, and I thought others might as well.

We got that the first time. Sick cars, but all we see if some takeoffs and no idea who won what. This is better than a kill story though

None of the cars that night were mine.. I'm not quite fast enough to get into the "king of the street" competition. I street race in the next group down, those are the faster street racers.. (most are somewhere in the 8's). I am proud of the other Chicago guys too!

Do you realize how hard it is to do this on the street? They tried this with a 16 car field in Texas, 1 grand buy-in winner take all. They got TWO races off before the cops came and broke it up. Now the cops have their ears up, and you have to find AND PREP another street. Not worth it so it was held at a track where they didn't have to worry about that ****. These cars are not track-only cars and see a lot of street action. I knew I'd end up getting some smart *** like you chirping about some detail.

Not an open event....it's invite only you either have to have a car racing or be with someone who does

That yellow car is not from Chicago. He came up from Texas to race this event and try to get down on the street which he did not.. Tex won the event because boost12 broke his car if boost12 would of not of broke he would of won

There was only one light, and it was operated by spotters at the end of the track. Flashing meant left won, steady meant right won. There were no clocks, no tree, no beam triggered win lights.

As for the guy whining about the King of the Street event being held at the track...They were only allowed to prep 50' passed the line...The rest of the track was unprepped and slick. JUST as slick as the street.

Here's our car that was there against the white Z in the 2nd round.

I wasnt there that night, but the night after and I heard all about it. The Boost12 guy was there the following night as well and launched the mustang once. That thing is SICK. The turbo sounds really weird too.

From what I understand you can race cars of that caliber any summer night on the streets in Chicago area if you know where to look.

And about the hole 13sec car crap comment , not everybody that is into the car culture has the means to run a single digit 1/4 mile time (I am one of those people) some of us have to settle for what we have. But hey someday homeboy maybe with a little hard work and winning lottery number's us Double Digit guys can be cool to.
