Default 8 cylinder prelude

This post isnt really a kill but a funny story. i know this guy from work who has a prelude.
It is one of those older body sytles. Anyway, me and him were talking yesterday and i told him about my V8 and stuff and he starts to claim that his car is a V8 as well. First i thought he was joking but then he started telling me how it was a direct import form japan and not made in the U.S. I told him that honda doesnt make V8's for general public and only has them for like professional racing. (i htink this is correct, right?)any way we started arguing and ended up placing a bet for $100. He will bring me PROOF that his car is a V8 today. I asked him to pop the hood but he refused. He said that since it was a rare car(Apparently only 100 were ever made )he wasnt goona expose it. Keep in mind that this guy is working at a retail store. Any way just wanted to let you know about the idiots out there. P.S Anyone ever heard of a V8 prelude? i know the chances are very slim but just outta curiosity. did they make anything like that for professional racers?

Maybe he meant to say Vtec surely noone is that dumb? The only "Honda V8s" I've seen were on cart cars. No unless something new happened Honda has never released a V8 to the public.

Since he works retail he must have meant the kind you drink, maybe there is enough room under the hood by the 4 banger that he has storage for his groceries.

I'm a bitch huh? I thought you were going to be a new Bullitt or go away forever. That's what a get for taking the word of a loser who's mommy buys him everything. BTW, Mustangs look like **** without spoilers and they look even shittier when they have aluminum fuel tank covers.

here's food for thought, an 8 cylinder prelude, specially imported from japan, would not be US street legal because it would not pass epa guidelines and whatnot. why do you think it costs so freakin much to import something like a skyline and make it legal... it's a lot of work. if you're going to go to the trouble and expense of importing a japanese car and modifying it to pass american emissions laws, who the hell would choose a prelude, v8 or no? give me a skyline.

I doubt it's a v8, unless there's a motor swap. Raise that bet!

there was never a v-8 prelude, honda didnt even have a consumer v-8 plan that long ago. The honda v-8 was recently introduced. (1-3 years ago in an suv)

If he proves that it's a v-8 then what's the problem with raising the hood...either way he is an idiot.....
