Default my ss vs. ws6 w/ vids...

These races actually happened about 2 weekends ago, finally found the video's that these guy's posted. The vid's are from my car and my 1st time honking it period. So that's the reason for the delay in the 1st video lol

Team Elusive (Stock Trans Am M6) vs. Insidious (SS A4 w/ my mods in sig. Club name is misspelled in videos)

T/A is said to be stock, which did sound like it was.

Dig Race Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zin5s6GCsro

Roll Race Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtPhQwrw9ZA

On the roll race, you guy's can see just how weak my car is. I basically get murdered & as ive mentioned before, every car/truck i have raced on a roll has always jumped out ahead of me and ive had to play catch up.

It didn't even sound like it kicked down to first so I imagine it was in the bottom of second. The WS6 was in the meat of first gear so the outcome was expected at that speed. Converter will definitely change things. Nice kill from a dig!

Yeaa now that i really think about it. That's more then likely what happened, since my friend who also has an A4 SS told me i shouldve done it from a 30 roll, that the car then wouldve downshifted back into 1st giving me a hell of a lot better take off then what you see in the video. Converter is in the plans sometime in the next few months hopefully. If money's not a problem...

If you read the next 2 post under your's, then you'll see what more then likely happened during the roll race. Which would explain why i got raped right off the start lol Im gonna drive around and see how the car responds from both 30 & 35mph runs.

Race him from a 30 & 35 roll, to see how his car responds at both speeds. You should take him pretty easy though, and you wouldnt happen to have a video of your exhaust setup?? i just got my slp lm2 muffler, so ill be runnin the same setup as you.

Yeaa lol It was my 1st time honking it off in a race, i had a lil trouble finding the right spot for the horn lol I really never use it but that explains the delay after we agreed to do the race from a stop lol Its a nice looking nbm t/a though.

Yeah, it actually looked like your car did a good job stopping his pull as the speeds increased. The power is there, but hitting it at the bottom of second is pretty big dead spot and that ended up spotting him too much distance. It has been awhile since I have been in an A4 F-body but I think a 3.23 geared car won't downshift to first at 35. You definitely have him covered from a dig, but let us know what happens if you run him again from 30. I think things will be a bit different even without the converter.

why dont you just shift on your own? i had a grand prix gt and when i raced, i just put itin first from a roll... if its in drive, you never know what its going to do, might downshift, might not... so if you just hold it in 1st, then you KNOW its going to stay in first....

Yeaa ill see if i can get another run with him sometime and at about 130mph i noticed i was pulling him back in slowly which is towards the end of the video. then i let off a few seconds before his brakes come on.
