You've run into some shitty drivers or one's with crappy tunes. part of the problem here is just like H/C setups......Pulley/Exh/Tune setups on Cobra's Vary. There are different size pullies, and tuning an N/A car is not like tuning an FI car. The tune is more critical and takes a tad more 'work' on an FI car..........generally speaking.

^ pony-The last cobra I ran put down 450 ish rwhp. I beat him but not by a whole lot... they have wicked top end. Also, the driver was hitting his gears pretty dang good.

I dont know I think the OPs 427 rwhp is kind of low for a heads and cam LS1 but thats just me. I would think a heads and cam LS1 would have the upper hand against a pulley only cobra.

banging gears does not always equal great driver though...know 'when' to shift matters more. If I shift too early or too late (gearing in relation to powerband) then what good is 'banging' or 'quick' shifting? Mach's redline is 6800, but given the tranny gearing and power band, it's best to shift 2-3-4 at about 6200 (N/A, stock 3650...etc.).Because of the 'tq' curve, in relation to 'pull'.

Depends on H/C setup no? IDk shiat about his, so I can't comment, but what I can say, is no one knows the CF or what Dyno those numbers read on.

nice runs man 427 is a little low for a heads and cam ls1. mine put down 410 cam only throw on a fast 90 and really let that heads and cam brethe ill bet you gain 30rwhp from just that and you shouldnt have a problem with him next time

Sounds like some awsome races....I would def. love to see a vid of these races. Cobras vary and so do track times...track times mean nothing on the street.

The deal with my set up is that i planned on putting the heads on a different set up, the AFR's were a little more than what i needed with my cam. My motor blew about 6 months ago and thats when i bought the AFR's which i thought i was going to set them on a 408 with a custom grind cam to match but i got laid off at my job so due to lack of funds i built another LS1 put my old cam back in it and put a quick tune to get it running again so i could find another job. i plan on doing more to my motor but as of right now im happy with it its going to get another tune here soon and a 90/90 intake and some other bolt-ons that i havent gotten around to yet. So yah my #'s are a little low but i just slapped it together for now so i could have transportation back and now that i have another job time to continue modding

They can be anywhere from high 300s to low 500s.. so H/C is kinda vague.

That is an A4 car and it traps 5-6 mph slower than the Cobra.
