Nice kill you cannibal...LOL.
Wonder if it was an older Vette? Do you know what year it was? There is no way you would put 3-4 cars from a 60 mph roll on my 03 with your mods, so I'm guessing it was an older LS1 without the LS6 intake, etc. Probably stock as well.

sounds like a pretty strong setup insomniak. I dunno about 3-4 car's from 60-110, but i'm sure you still took him. All these people picking on the corvettes! How come no camaro's or mustangs try to pick on me? Seems like I have to go looking for the races! Oh well.. hey Good kill

Good kill. I know a guy that fits that desription. Did it have personalized liscence plates? Did it have a small wing? If so, it is a full bolton stalled A4. Fairly quick car for what it is. The 60mph roll on ain't it's strong point though.

I smoke Vettes all the time, C5 bone stock cant hold a candle to me so Im very sure he is telling the truth. And on the dyno I out did vettes with bolts like Borla,Air intake, some Auto with HPP3, and headers by over 23hp, the nearest bolt on vette only did 312rwhp, I did 335rwhp runnin 13.3AFR, at 21st Century Muscle Cars so dont call BS on my friend

Ravenous the Vetts have this little thing called IRS that loves to eat HP. You cant dyno race, you need to take it to tha track or street.

Don't RevMe: don't get you started on what? if you are in dallas you should run RavenousTA.. he's not just comparing dyno's he works for GM and has had plenty of chances to race against new c5's
or if you make your way down to houston let me know i don't understand why u think its so impossible for the vette to lose?
my car is putting down 335rwhp/340torq.. i've got it lightened down to 3370 lbs w/ 1/2tank of gas..so the coupe i raced i'm guessing he was stock would put down around 300 wheel and weighed maybe 100 lbs less.

I am talkig about on the street, I just brought up how I out do them on the Dyno as well. I've been beatin before and I most likely will be beatin again, but C5 guys need to realize that just cause its a Vette doesnt mean its the fastest damn thing on the rode. Ive raced plenty of vettes from work and customers from work. I know for a fact my friend whooped that vette, just thought it was rude to call

But I used to have a 99 SS that I just traded in for my 2003 coupe. It had a C1 cam and bolt ons and dynoed 370 rwhp. Trust me, I killed my share of Vettes, but I know from driving my new one with a few bolt ons that it is no slug either.
I have a unbiased opinion, they both have their strong points. F-body owners are quick to point out the Vettes drive train losses and Vette owners point out the weight difference. They are both valid points and should be considered.
I'm not saying you couldn't beat my car, because I haven't raced it yet. I'm just saying I don't think if you won it would be by 3-4 cars. This is of course going by my experience with my SS vs the new car. You really don't have that much hp compared to alot of f-bodys out there, but should do fine against stock cars whether it is a Vette or a F-body.
My point was that it must be an older stock Vette for your 35 rwhp diff vs his 170 weight diff to add up to 3-4 cars. Just an observation. Keep picking on Vettes and you'll find your match. And stay away from a Z06 until you do heads, cam and exhaust. Otherwise you're going to be thinking ... WTF just happened!

A Vette weighs 3200 lbs and is easily capable of low 13s or high 12s with a good driver. I'm confused at how you are beating them with those times? Especially blowing them away by so much that you say they can't hold a candle to you.
