2001 Z vs 2003 Cobra
well...
I got smoked!
http://www.htownracing.com/forums/in...howtopic=15257
We did two runs....one from a rolling start and one from a dig...
If you watch the video, I spun all 1st and 2nd gear from the dig...
got burned on both times, but sorta hung on the rolling start...
oh well...it was bound to happen. 1st mustang loss.
He has 100 RWHP more than me...
Anyways, It's all good...

Hey its all in good fun Don't worry, mod your car and wait for him next time There have been MULTIPLE 03 Cobras that have crept up on me and ALL of them have lost There is one around with a KB blower and he will get his once I catch him on the street

i don't even think there was an 02 cobra. there were 93, 94-95, 96-98, 99, 01, and 03. i'm not even sure they're calling the current ones they are making 04 cobras, or if they're still calling them 03s.
the foglights on the 03 are oval shaped. they are more of an elongated sideways teardrop shape on the 99/01. the 03 has either no wing, or some huge bulbous spoiler thingie... i'm pretty sure the 99/01 had a normal mustang wing. the 03's hood has almost a cowl to it it's so large, and it's got twin depressions running from front to back...
know what, look at unit's sig. that's an 03.
W8N2SQZ, what mods do you have? if you can beat a kenne bell cobra, then either the driver really sucks, or you've got one hell of a powerful ls1 under your hood. i would imagine that if someone gets to the point where they switch the eaton out for the KB, they've already done pretty much every other normal performance mod to the cobra. a fully tweaked out eaton-based cobra is good for somewhere in the 450-500rwhp range, and the KB is a significantly superior blower to the eaton.

There is no such thing of a 02 cobra....he must have an 01 cobra instead....
Yeah, with little modification, the 03 cobras are mean as hell....easially 450 RWHP with different pulley, exhuast and psi boost...
the guy I ran with, had what I just mentioned and he pushing 452 RWHP...
watch out for them...but if they are stock, a slightly modded (bolt on's) ls1 will with them a run for their money...
