Default 02 SS vs. Dinan M5 and Procharged 95 gt

Well it all started when a buddy of mine calls and says he has a run for me, a dinan m5 bmw. I dont know much about them but the guy says he puts down around 460rwhp Im only bolt on and nowhere near pushing that, but I figured what the hell, could be fun. well here is what hapened on that race...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mN304FNuUPQ we both took off on the third honk, but you cant hear it over my exhaust. Oh and yes the chase car does actually pull him to, its one of the new calibers with the turbo with some mods. As soon as I pulled into a gas station a blue 95 gt mustang pulls up with a vortec and asks for a run. I didnt post up the vids to youtube because all you see is his headlights disappear, because it was filmed from my car, and 20% tint isnt good for filming at night! I only pulled him by two or three cars, but he hung with me longer than the dinan. Both cars were nice and well built, hope they mod up a little more and want a rematch!

whenever he popped the hood did you see one or two intakes? unlike 540, M5 got 2 intakes. they are rated 400 hp from the factory which translates around 340 on wheels, i think the weight is killing them

Good kill, the M5 looks like a big heavy tank.

Or a 500HP V10

I've always liked the M-series BMW's. Nice runs your car looks real strong to hang with those cars.

Great kill. That wasn't even a race. It looked almost as bad as the one I ran that was bone stock (as far as I could tell). 400hp at the flywheel in that heavy of a car is quick, but not THAT quick. They are pretty nice, though. I'd cruise around in one any day.

And there's no way he's putting down 460 to the wheels if he got smoked that bad by your car making 100rwhp less. He's heavier than you by about 500-600 pounds (assuming you don't have any serious weight reduction), but 100rwhp should be more than enough to take you out or worst case at least keep it close, nevermind the spanking you put on him.

Or he's just a REALLY bad driver. That's always a possibility. Guy puts it in the wrong gear and slowly short shifts, that's all it takes to make a dyno number totally worthless on the street or at the track.

How much will a supercharged 95 GT make? I'm assuming around 300ish with just a basic kit on a stock car? Obviously more bolt-ons will increase that.

Right. Keep in mind the 95 is still a 5.0. With H/C/I and the blower it can be really impressive and have 420+rwhp.

well maybe but the car had at exhaust and some huge brakes (like 8 piston calipers) and was lowered too. it was really a clean nicely done up car. But he left me so hard it had to be more then 500 horsepower i would imagine.

If it was the new 10 cylinder those things roll out pretty damn quick. I was shocked by how they move for as heavy as they are. They aren't anything to sneeze at.

I was riding in the one that surprised me and it was a steady pull from a dead stop til the governor shut off the fun. It still had some left too. Not bad for a car that is as comfortable as my couch.
