Question regarding 00 Trans Am What should a cammed (MS4) 00 ram air T/A with a lid, long tube headers, SLP loudmouth exhaust & 3.73 gears run in the 1/4? The guy claims it dynoed 398 RWHP. It is a 6 speed car btw. My guess was 12.0-ish.
Anyway, I beat this car in a stock Z06 from a 35 mph roll, but it was damn close. I had him by a fender & pulling on him @ 130. I could have had him by more had I not stayed in 3rd gear too long. He spun some on the hit though so I feel like it would have been CLOSE if we both went from a dig with drag radials.
I will say this- that car sounded like a fire breathing dragon. I have never heard a street car that sounded that good in person. To be completely honest, I was scared to death that the dude was going to suck my doors off when we were driving out.
