Default 2002 TA Vs. 2008 GT 350 stang

my first kill post.....

leaving the movies last night and notied the shelby gt sitting across the street, blue, silver stripes, and some added things, stickers, wheels (nice wheels) and when he started it, definately aftermarket exhaust, sounded good...

oh well just watched it leave....

went down the highway to get some gas, just as i was finishing up, saw him go by...hopped in the car and pursued, lol....

we went way north of town....when the lanes cleared, i got up next to him, both of us had windows down about 5 inches, just could see him turn his head and look over.....i jumped my car a few time, he did a fly by....hmmmmmmm, was that it?

nope he slowed way way down, put a signal on and swung a u turn....he went far outside, i swung in on the inside.....20 punch!!!! when i hit mid 3rd gear, i was 3 cars in front of him.....

after i let off i waited on him to catch up...we caught the first light coming back into town....nice guy, told him his car ran good, looked great!!! he gave mine props as well and we went on down the road!!! good times!!!

sorry my sig isnt showing up....mustang was a stick shift, exhaust for sure....

me...2002 WS6, slp lt headers and y pipe (no cats), slp lid, p/p throttle body, 6 spd, 4:10 gears, etc....

I believe those Shelby GT's have a revised intake and exhaust giving them a slight bump in HP, but nothing that would offset your modded LS1. Good kill. It's nice when the other guy is cool and you both can appreciate each others cars.

haha, wow, i just did some research on the shelby gt, and you guess are right on and i was so far off....it is NOT a 350, just a shelby gt, and thats all it says on the side as well...i dont know where or why i thought it said gt 350, must be thinking of the old ones...anyway i did run across some info on what the car has done to it to make it a shelby...

"Every Shelby GT starts is life as a Ford factory Mustang GT, then is delivered to Shelby Autos in Las Vegas, in order to be modified into a Shelby GT. The performance modifications from the factory are fairly limited on an SGT. They add a Ford Racing cold air intake kit, a CPU re-flash, 3.55 gears, a Hurst short throw shifter, lowering springs, performance dampers, new mufflers, Ford Racing strut tower brace, and sway bars."

sorry for the screw up, i will pay more attention next time, lol....

Yes...but no 'Shelby' GT will have the GT350...unless a REAL tard owns it. I ahve seen several 'regular' GT's with it on...but no SGT's.
